Image & Media Licensing Policy
Last updated on
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
This policy covers ownership and permitted use of the photographs, drawings, video, text, and other media on metalroofingflorida.com, and how Interlock Roofing of America obtains and uses customer photographs and testimonials.
1. Ownership
Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site, including product photography, installation drawings, technical documents, page text, and site design, is owned by Interlock Roofing Ltd. or used under licence from its owners and is protected by U.S. and Canadian copyright law. Some images are licensed from stock libraries or photographers and remain their property.
2. Trademarks
Interlock®, Alunar®, the Interlock logo, and the profile names used with them are trademarks of I.E.L. Manufacturing Ltd. Interlock Roofing of America uses them under licence. Other marks, including Florida Product Approval, UL, and ICC-ES references, belong to their owners and are used only to identify the tests or approvals concerned. No trademark licence is granted by your use of the Site.
3. Permitted Use
You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use in considering an Interlock roof, and you may share links to the Site. Journalists, homeowners’ associations, architects, and installers may request high-resolution images and logo files for editorial, submittal, or approved marketing use by emailing policies@metalroofingflorida.com; we will supply usage terms with the files.
4. Prohibited Use
You may not copy, alter, republish, sell, or use Site content in another website, advertisement, or product listing; remove copyright or trademark notices; use the Interlock marks in a way that suggests endorsement or that you are Interlock or one of its certified installers; or use Site content to train automated systems without written permission. Certified installers may use Interlock marks only as their certification agreement allows.
5. Customer Photographs and Testimonials
We publish photographs of customers’ homes, and quotations from customers, only with the customer’s written permission. Before publication the customer signs a release that identifies the images or statements, the places they may appear (this Site, social media, print), the duration, and whether the customer’s name or town may be shown. Under section 540.08, Florida Statutes, a person’s name, portrait, or likeness may not be used for commercial purposes without express written or oral consent, and we treat photographs that show a home’s exterior with the same care.
Testimonials are published in compliance with the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255): they reflect the honest opinion and actual experience of the customer, any material connection between the customer and Interlock (for example a thank-you gift) is disclosed next to the testimonial, and we do not present an individual result as typical unless we can substantiate that it is. Photographs are not altered beyond cropping, exposure, and color correction. Customers may withdraw permission at any time by emailing us; we will remove the content from the Site within 10 business days, though copies already printed or distributed cannot be recalled.
6. Installer Photographs
Photographs supplied by certified installers are used under the installer’s certification agreement, which requires the installer to have obtained the homeowner’s consent before sharing them.
7. Takedown Requests
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright or trademark, uses your likeness or property without consent, or contains your personal information, email policies@metalroofingflorida.com with the subject line “Takedown,” the URL, a description of the content, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We acknowledge takedown requests within 5 business days and remove or respond within 10 business days.
