Effective Date: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Interlock Roofing of America (“IRoA,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information through metalroofingflorida.com (the “Site”). Interlock Roofing of America is a program of the manufacturer Interlock Roofing Ltd., 9969 River Way, Delta, BC V4G 1M8, Canada, part of Interlock Group. We manufacture and supply aluminum roofing, certify independent installers, and back the Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty. We do not install roofs and we are not a Florida contractor. Installation is performed by an independent, Florida-licensed installer who has completed our product certification and who contracts directly with you.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you submit the quote form (hosted by Zoho Forms), call one of our telephone numbers, or email us, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, property address, roof details, preferred contact method, and anything else you include in your message. We do not ask for financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or health information, and we ask that you do not include such information in free-text fields.
Information collected automatically. Subject to your cookie choices, we and our service providers collect device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and campaign or click identifiers (for example a Google click ID) that attribute your visit to an advertisement. Our Zoho form records the page you submitted from and basic attribution fields.
Information from calls and texts. If you call or text us, we keep call logs, text message content, and, where announced, call recordings (see Section 3).
Information from installers. The installer assigned to your project may tell us the status of your quote, the installation date, and warranty registration details so that we can register your Guardian warranty.
Sensitive data. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data as defined in section 501.702(31), Florida Statutes, including precise geolocation, health, biometric, or data from persons under 18. Please do not include such information in free-text fields.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to your quote request and route it to the assigned certified installer; to answer your questions; to register and administer your Guardian warranty; to send service messages about your request; to send marketing messages where you have consented; to measure and improve the Site and our advertising; to keep records of consent; to detect fraud and abuse; and to comply with law.
3. Call Tracking, Call Recording, and Text Messages
Our toll-free and regional telephone numbers are tracking numbers that record the number you called from, the time, and the source page or advertisement that showed the number.
Florida is an all-party-consent state (section 934.03, Florida Statutes). We record calls to and from 1-866-733-5811 and our regional numbers only after announcing that the call is being recorded; by continuing the call after that announcement you consent to the recording. If you do not want to be recorded, say so and we will continue without recording. Recordings are retained for 24 months and shared with the assigned certified installer only when needed to fulfil your quote request.
Text messages are sent only with your prior express written consent as described in our SMS / Communications Policy. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
The Site uses a consent banner operated through Cloudflare Zaraz. Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads run under Google Consent Mode v2 and are set to “denied” until you accept analytics or marketing cookies. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal and treat it as an opt-out from analytics and advertising cookies for that browser. Your consent choices are recorded as a consent receipt (timestamp, choices, consent-text version, and a salted hash of your IP address) stored in Cloudflare D1. Details are in our Cookie Policy and Consent Tool page.
5. How We Share Information
Certified installers. We share your quote request (name, email, phone, property address, and roof details) with the independent, Florida-licensed certified installer assigned to your area so that the installer can prepare the quote you requested. That transfer is made at your request and for the service you asked for; Florida law does not treat it as a sale (section 501.702(29), Florida Statutes). The installer is an independent business and handles your information under its own privacy practices once you engage it.
Service providers. Zoho (forms and CRM), Cloudflare (hosting, consent tool, and storage), Google (analytics and advertising), and telephone and messaging carriers process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use of it.
Corporate family. Interlock Roofing Ltd. and I.E.L. Manufacturing Ltd. for warranty administration and program management.
Legal. Where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, and in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.
We do not sell personal data for money. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, which may be considered “targeted advertising” or “sharing” under some state laws; you can opt out through our cookie banner, through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor.
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Personal data is processed in the United States and may be transferred to our parent, Interlock Roofing Ltd., in Canada, which is subject to Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). Our service providers may also process data in other countries where they operate. We take steps to require comparable protection wherever data is processed.
7. Retention
We keep quote requests and related correspondence for as long as needed to fulfil your request and for up to five years after our last contact with you, or longer where required for warranty administration (for the life of the warranty), consent evidence (five years after revocation), tax and legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Call recordings are kept for 24 months. Consent receipts from the cookie banner are kept for 24 months. When we no longer need customer records containing personal information, we dispose of them by secure erasure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
You may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to provide a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising and marketing messages. To make a request, email policies@metalroofingflorida.com or use the Data Subject Access Request page. We will verify your identity by matching the details you supply against our records and may ask for additional information where needed. We will respond to a verified request within 45 days, extendable once by 15 days where reasonably necessary; if we extend, we will tell you why within the initial 45 days. Requests are free up to twice in any twelve-month period. You may appeal a refusal by writing to policies@metalroofingflorida.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal”; we will answer appeals in writing within 60 days.
9. State Privacy Rights
Florida. Interlock Roofing of America is not a “controller” as defined in section 501.702(9), Florida Statutes, because it does not meet the revenue and business-type thresholds of the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (chapter 501, Part V, Florida Statutes). We nevertheless voluntarily extend to all visitors the rights described in Section 8. Consistent with section 501.715, Florida Statutes, we do not sell sensitive personal data and do not sell the personal data of any person under 18.
California and other states. If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, New Jersey, Delaware, New Hampshire, Maryland, Minnesota, or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have similar rights under that law, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We extend the rights in Section 8 to residents of every state and honor GPC signals as an opt-out. California residents may designate an authorized agent to make requests on their behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of authorization. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
10. Security and Breach Notification
We take reasonable measures, as required by section 501.171, Florida Statutes, to protect personal information in electronic form, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls on our Zoho CRM and form tools, and vendor contracts requiring our service providers to protect your data and to notify us of any security breach within 10 days of discovery. If a breach of security affects your unencrypted personal information as defined in that statute, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and no later than 30 days after we determine a breach occurred, unless law enforcement asks us to delay, and we will notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs where 500 or more Florida residents are affected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Our services are for homeowners and are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (16 CFR Part 312). Quote requests must be submitted by an adult who owns or is authorized to act for the property. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us personal information, email policies@metalroofingflorida.com and we will delete it promptly.
12. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on the Site before they take effect, and where we hold your email address we may notify you directly.
